State of South Carolina is Hiring an Administrative Coordinator I Near UNKNOWN, SC

**THIS POSITION IS FOR INTERNAL APPLICANTS ONLY**
With our Agency's mission to support the recovery of people with mental illnesses, we provide a complete array of medical and support services for children, adults, and families throughout South Carolina.
This position is located at the Department of Mental Health, Pee Dee Mental Health Office, 125 East Cheves Street, Florence, SC 29506.
Under general supervision, the candidate plans, coordinates, and/or performs administrative services, business management, or support services. Coordinates matters pertaining to Information Technology for Pee Dee Mental Health Center. Information Technology services include: Local Area Network (LAN) systems, Wide Area Network (WAN) systems, Telephone systems, equipment (hardware and software), and Information Technology training. Provides assistance and guidance in the use, selection, and user training of hardware and software systems. Provides technical advice in the design of voice and data networks and the operations of network control centers.

Responsibilities for this Administrative Coordinator I position
include but are not limited to:
  • Under general supervision, the candidate must be able to coordinate general administrative, business management and/or support activities. Performs or supervises the performance of activities related to fiscal management, personnel management, procurement, supply services, ancillary services, etc. Develops and monitors compliance with annual budgets, consults with program personnel regarding the availability of funds and preparation of funding requests. Conducts confidential investigations and complex special assignments, prepares and maintains specialized records and reports. Establishes and provides consultation on administrative policies and procedures.
  • Assist with the design and maintenance of the Center's website
  • Establishes effective working relationships with SCDMH IT staff in SCDMH Central Office.
  • Assists in the development and documentation of procedures used to resolve or escalate issues relating to requests for technical support. Ability to analyze, troubleshoot, and provide solutions to issues relating to the Center's technology hardware and software systems. Conducts technology training and develops training materials. Participates in individualized training as well as training sessions and user conferences as determined by employee and supervisor.
  • Assists with recording changes in assignment and location of computer equipment for inventory purposes including surplus equipment. Utilizes the Help Desk ticketing system to track problems from initial occurrence through resolution.
  • Will perform other duties as required.
State Minimum Requirements: A high school diploma and relevant experience in business management, public administration, or administrative services or a bachelor's degree may be substituted for the required work experience.

  • The selected candidate must possess a valid SC Driver's License. Must be capable of lifting objects weighing up to 50lbs. and have full mobility in responding to emergency situations. May be required to work at times other than routine office hours.
